This workshop will give you both the practical skills and an appreciation of already owned clothes, plus also start a discussion over the emotional durability and philosophy behind the act of repair.
Each participant will mend a hole or a worn off place on an item of knitwear (sweater, scarf, mittens, woollen socks) in the
#visiblemending style. The practical skills can later on be implemented on a more time consuming piece.
This workshop is tutored by designer, lecturer and researcher
Marta Konovalov. The necessary tools and materials will be provided by the organiser. Please bring a piece of knitwear in need for repair. Techniques: darning, stiching.
